He is Professor of Practice and Programme Lead, MSc in Shipping, Port Management and Logistics, CITY College, University of York Europe Campus, Thessaloniki, Greece & Research Fellow (Professorial Fellowship), South – East European Research Center (SEERC). Honorary Professor, University of York School of Management, UK. Non – Resident Affiliated Faculty & Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Advanced Infrastructure & Transportation (CAIT), Rutgers University, NJ, USA. Managing Partner, MARLOGMIND PC, a Company specialized in Freight, Port & Maritime Logistics. Academic Director, Executive Programme in Port Senior Management, Galilee International Management Institute (GIMI), Nahalal, Israel. He led the efforts for the Corporatization of PPA SA & ThPA SA (1998-1999); and Stock Listing of both ThPA SA (2001) and PPA SA (2003) in the Athens Stock Exchange (ASA).

Founding Member and past Member of the Executive Committee of the European Seaports Organisation (ESPO), in April 2019, he has been selected as Port Professional of the month in Europe, by ESPO.

He holds MEng In Civil Engineering (specialization in Port & Environmental Engineering), National Technical University of Athens, Greece; MSc in Environmental Engineering, University of Birmingham, UK; Executive Diploma in Port Senior Management, Galilee College, Israel; and PhD in Maritime & Port Logistics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.
