Married to Molly for 29 years. Three Children: Catherine, Killian, and Rory. Graduate of the College of Charleston and earned an MBA at the Citadel. Eight-year veteran of the USNR.

Employment

Currently a Senior Operations Manager for Hapag-Lloyd in Charleston. Previous responsibilities with Hapag-Lloyd include Intermodal Manager, Vessel Closure Manager, Terminal Operations Manager, and Import Documentation/Equipment Coordinator.

Projects include the rollout of a new intermodal program, TD Top. Trained new employees in port operations during the merger CP Ships and United Arab. Project team member integrating SAP accounting software with in-house freight system to create work orders. First port to roll out the Terminal Performance Report (TPFREP), which has become industry standard.

Also worked for Evergreen Marine Corporation, The Adherence Group, America Yard Products/Electrolux, TFX Trucking, and Carolina Shipping Company

Propeller Club

Served on the Board of Governors for the Propeller Club of Charleston since 2011. Served as assistant to the Secretary and is currently the Immediate Past President. Member of the Scholarship Committee, the Community Outreach Committee, and the Public Affairs Committee.

Other Maritime Organizations

Member and past board member of the Maritime Association of South Carolina presently serving on the Harbor Safety Committee. Trustee for the National Transportation Week (NTW) Charleston Chapter, served as Chairman in 2015. Previous board member of the Charleston Port and Seafarers Society.

Church and Community

Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church serves as usher; lector; and religious education teacher. Founder and first Scoutmaster of Troop 529 in Mount Pleasant, SC. Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and past Faithful Navigator. Member of the East Cooper Council past Grand Knight and Youth Director.
